Since this station transmits using the mp3PRO codec, it's possible you are not hearing the music as clear as you could be. If you are listening to this site using a player that doesn't support mp3PRO, then you're missing out... If you are a paid VIP member with Live365.com, then you could just use Live365's player. But if you're not down with that, then you can get the one of the following:
- WinAmp 5 and mp3PRO Winamp Plugin - Download Winamp! In my opinion, it's the only MP3 player out there. You will also have to install the mp3PRO plugin for it. Then it should be as good as gold.
(Note: the plugin will work with Winamp 2.x and 5.x. It will not work with 3.x).
Once you install winamp and the mp3Pro Plugin, you will have to configure Live365.com to use "MP3 Player – iTunes, MusicMatch, Winamp or similar". As long as your default .pls player is winamp, the radio stream should have no problem launching in winamp.
- Audion 3 - This is for the MAC users.... You're not forgotten!

- Shoutcast Server - A must if you are running the Shoutcast DSP Plugin. You can also configure this server so you can run 2 at the same time, one for broadband listeners, and one for dial-up listeners. (Freeware)
- Shoutcast DSP Plugin for Winamp - Allows you to broadcast anything you're playing in winamp, or anything hooked up to the inputs of your soundcard to a shoutcast server. Listeners in turn will be able to connect to the shoutcast server and hear your transmissions over the web. (Freeware)
- Sam Encoder DSP plugin for Winamp - This works just like the the dsp plugin above, except you have more power. You can also stream your radio station with the mp3PRO codec. This is an oldschoollive.com favorite. ($59.95)
- RTL365 - Normally, when broadcasting with relay mode through live365.com using 3rd party tools like winamp and shoutcast, your live365 playlist will say "Playlist Not Available". This utility fixes that. Pretty tight. (Freeware)
- Skunk Server - Probably one of the most craziest things I've ever seen, but a very cool idea. Instead of the traditional "host as many listeners as YOUR bandwidth will allow", SkunkServer works by storing files on webspace. A single stream is uploaded by the server, regardless of the number of concurrent listeners. SkunkPlayer works by downloading files from websites specified by the server, so it does not directly drain the servers connection. Yes, it may be an alternative for people with low bandwidth, but it might piss off alot of webhosting companies in the process... But more power to the authors for making something as unique as the Skunk Server!(Freeware)
- Song Requester - This is another plugin for Winamp which gives you the power to take live requests. As soon as a listener clicks on a song, it will que up that song for play. This will only work if you are using shoutcast server and winamp. Live365.com broadcasters can do this too, ONLY if they are broadcasting in LIVE or RELAY mode. (Freeware)

- dBpowerAMP - A free but awesome MP3 encoder that can easily rip CD's. You can even convert mp3's to wav. You can also download and install different CODECS, so you can convert to and from different formats, such as mp3PRO, blade MP3, Fraunhofer MP3, WVM, RA, and Ogg Vorbis. dBpowerAMP comes with the LAME MP3 codec. (Freeware)
- MP3 Gain - The most AWESOME AWSOME AWESOME volume normalizing software EVER made. (As you can probably guess, I'm in love with it.) I swear by it. and to top it off, it's free. Download it, use it, and you'll want to send the guy who made it a donation, it's that good. It can make all of your mp3's the same volume, and it doesn't even have to re-convert the mp3. All it does is change the parameters in the mp3 file itself. Even if you accidently make an mp3 distorted, it's not corrupt. You would just be able to change it back to a lower volume. Try it! You'll thank me... (Freeware)
- MP3 Tag Tools - For all of you anal MP3 Taggers. This is a pretty cool mp3 tagger, that lets you easily tag and view tags for all mp3's in a particular folder on your hard drive. You can also remove all tags for all mp3's in one big swoop. This handles v.1 and v.2 mp3 tags.. This is freeware as well. (Freeware)
- MP3 Surgeon - This is perfect for splitting huge mp3 files into seperate files, or splicing a bunch of mp3's together into one mp3 file. This is not freeware though... ($20.00)
